Youth Counselors

Youth Counselors perform meet and greet functions in the Oceaneer’s Club and Lab for children and parents on embarkation day. This includes a tour of facilities, overview of programs, and sign-up of children for programs. Counselors will then present or facilitate shows, programs, or activities established on board for one or more of the 3-4, 5-7, 8-9, 10-12, and 13-17 age groups.

Youth Councilors keep Programming spaces safe, tidy and fun during operating hours. An important part of this role is also setting up for all programs that will be facilitated and then assisting in the clean-up procedure upon completion of the program. A relevant qualification in recreation, education, or related field of study is preferred but a passion for engaging children in entertaining programs and events is valued above all.

This position has the following requirements that must be met by all applicants:

• Minimum 2 years relevant experience in all positions
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Must be able to read and write English.
• Must be willing to commit to a 6 month contract
• Have a flexible attitude
• Must be able to pass a maritime medical
