Sergio was born in Rome. He studied under Paolo Silveri, Maria Also and Giuliana Raimondi. His numerous accolades include first prize in various vocal competitions including "Enrico Caruso" in Milan, "Mattia Battistini" in Rieti. He has appeared in the Worldwide premiere of "Le Cri de Mohim" from Tabachnik at the Tonhalle Concert Hall with Orchestra de la Suisse Romande in Zurich Switzerland, - "Tabarro" from Puccini in Spoleto - the role of Giasone (receiving accolades from the great soprano J. Sutherland) La Traviata with the Rome Opera on tour in Japan - Four renditions of Carmina Burana in Rome for the Santa Cecilia Academy 3 different renditions, - Rinuccio in Puccini’s Gianni Schicchi in Torre del Lago Puccini Opera Festival - Carmina Burana in Dusserdolf Requiem at the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam. One of his favourite roles has been that of Rodolfo in La Boheme at the prestigious Puccini Opera Festival in Torre del Lago.
He has recently returned home from Japan for the Haichi Expo where he sang La Bella Dormiente by Respighi in Nagoya. In October 2005 he sang a concert for the Pope in Vatican while in November 2005 he sang 3 performances of Gioconda at the Athens State Opera House and famously an operatic gala opposite Natalia Ushakova at the Carnagie Hall in New York in 2006.
