Beginning his professional life at the age of 17 strumming a guitar and singing in bars in his home city of Cardiff, Hooker soon progressed to playing in local bands, signing a recording contract with Sony records and completing tours of Europe and Canada.

Returning home in his early twenties Hooker became one half of a succesful musical comedy duo, before accepting a position as compere at one of the largest resort style holiday centres in the country, working at this time with the top names in UK light entertainment.

Stints then followed managing a large resort in Spain and touring a cabaret show all over southern Europe before returning to London and making some appearances on British national television.

In the late 1990’s, Hooker began performing at piano bars all across Europe and spent 2 years working at the well known “Jumpin Jaks” chain of UK nightclubs.

The Scandinavian pianobar circuit followed and over the next few years he ran a pianobar at a ski resort in the Austrian Alps, worked in the Caribbean and on the Canary Islands and also at an island resort in the Indian Ocean.

In addition to regular pianobar shows across Europe and the Caribbean (see forthcoming Dates)  Hooker Jones performs The Cash and Diamond show.

A cabaret featuring the most popular songs from these artistes performed by a voice uncannily similar to the originals. In addition to backing track accompaniment, some of the songs in the show are played by Hooker solely using the piano or guitar. This highlights the feeling of individuality and authenticity.  Of course should a complete evening of entertainment be required, Hookers vast experience and repertoire enable him to be able to provide for any situation that is required, ranging from background music and Jazz swing through to high energy party music.
