On The Edge
Juggling Juggernauts
The comedy juggling team On The Edge was born one busy Saturday night when two waiters in a Long Beach, California theme restaurant crashed into each other. Both were carrying heavily laden trays, but thanks to the quick hands of one waiter, not a morsel of food reached the floor. A friendship was formed and the next day longtime juggling fanatic Howie gave his new friend Bert a beginner's juggling lesson. The rest, as they say, is history.
On The Edge began as a street performance act, near the popular tourist haunts of Los Angeles. As their reputation grew, Howie and Bert worked their way up to regular engagements at theme parks and county fairs. Though these venues were far from the elegant showrooms the "Edge Boys" work today, they were the perfect training ground for honing valuable technical and improvisational skills.
During their 17 year career Howie and Bert have become a huge hit with the cruise industry, thrilling audiences worldwide with their high-energy presentation of witty and mystifying antics. Shore-side highlights include television audience warm-ups for CBS studios in Hollywood and the prestigious Canadian national tour, "Illusions, A Magic Spectacular." Headliner casino engagements include The Atlantis Resort/Casino in Nassau, Bahamas, and on the Las Vegas Strip, they've performed at the Riviera, Tropicana, and most recently in "V - The Ultimate Variety Show" at the Aladdin. A desire to venture from safe and predictable themes into new and original ideas distinguishes On The Edge from their contemporaries. Howie and Bert are constantly exploring new directions in their quest to change the way people think about juggling.
