Described as ‘Flanders & Swann for the iPad generation’ by the Evening Standard and ‘Achingly Funny’ by The Times, Kit & McConnel write and perform original, sophisticated, topical comedy songs on almost any subject, ranging from food allergies to Polish plumbers.
They are regularly to be seen in cabaret venues, theatres and major festivals, including the Aldeburgh, Three Choirs and Edinburgh Festivals – both in the UK and abroad. They have performed for three Prime Ministers, as well as (on various occasions) every member of the Royal Family.
They were touring partners multiple times with the late, great Joan Rivers and Kit is a regular panellist on Radio 4’s ‘Just A Minute’. Cambridge-educated Kit is also a screenwriter, opera director and columnist for Country Life magazine, while James (Royal College of Music), sometime TV presenter, has composed the music for over 150 TV and film productions. Kit & McConnel are currently resident at London’s premier cabaret venue, The Pheasantry and are embarking on a major UK tour in 2019.
Additionally, they have an alternative repertoire of songs by Flanders & Swann, Tom Lehrer, Noel Coward and others.
