Paul Zerdin

Ventriloquist

Since his first royal performance in 1997, Paul has appeared regularly on shows such as: ITV’s Tonight at the London Palladium hosted by Bruce Forsythe, The Big Stage, The Freddie Starr Show, LWT’s top rated Christmas shows, BBC1’s Generation Game, ITV’s A Royal Gala, Carlton TV’s Stand Up at Jongleurs, BBC TV’s The Stand Up Show, Paramount Comedy’s The World Stands Up, Late Night with Jerry Springer, Channel 4’s The Big Breakfast, ITV’s This Morning, and BBC1’s Children in Need.

He was the first outright winner, by over 100,000 votes, of the Big Big Talent Show hosted by Jonathan Ross on LWT.

2016 was an extremely busy year for the acclaimed performer Zerdin, on both sides of the Atlantic. The comedian ended the year as part of a star-studded line up as Buttons in ‘Cinderella’, the London Palladium’s first pantomime in 30 years and a performance that saw high praise for Zerdin from the Radio Times (‘inspired casting – quick wit, rapport with the crowd and astonishing skills’), the Daily Mail (‘Zerdin is terrific’), The Guardian (‘an exceptionally good ventriloquist – labial control combined with easy charm’) and The Stage (‘Zerdin takes ventriloquism to new heights – his natural charm and puppet Sam’s cheekiness are a winning combination’).

Zerdin is arguably the UK’s number one ventriloquist and made his TV debut in 1993 as the host of GMTV’s ‘Rise and Shine’. He then went on to win ITV’s The Big Big Talent Show, hosted by Jonathan Ross. Since then he has appeared on countless TV shows including The World Stands Up (Comedy Central), The Stand Up Show BBC!, Just for Laughs Montreal Comedy Festival, Comedy Rocks with Jason Manford (ITV1), Tonight at The London Palladium (ITV1), Michael McIntyre’s Big Christmas Show (BBC1) and three appearances at The Royal Variety Performance. Winning Series 10 of America’s Got Talent in September 2015, Zerdin and his sidekicks soon went viral on YouTube, receiving millions of views from around the world.
