The Dots – Helen, Robine and Lucinda – over 30 years combined experience on London’s glittering West End stage…
Their story begins with the Demon Barber of Fleet Street – more commonly known as London’s Adelphi Theatre! Helen and Robine both performed in the critically acclaimed production of Sweeney Todd The Opera with Imelda Staunton and Michael Ball. They shared a dressing room for many months. Friends for life.
Shortly afterwards, Helen and Lucinda shared a dressing room at London’s infamous Theatre Royal Drury Lane, featuring in Sam Mendes’ musical adaptation of Roald Dahl’s Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. They played many different characters in the show, but they both agree, playing the Oompa Loompas were their favourite!
So then Helen joined The Dots – literally! A beautiful friendship blossomed. With a shared love of music, singing and laughing, The Dots have developed their unique act – slick and sophisticated close part harmony with a dash of mischievous comedy.
They have performed in many wonderful London venues such as Zedel’s Brasserie, The Other Palace and The Toulouse Lautrec Jazz Club. But their absolute favourite gig to date was being the warm-up act to much-loved TV personality Christopher Biggins at The Ivy’s Eurovision Song Contest Party.
